Now in its 14th year, the Community Concert Series @ St. Michael’s is a self-sustaining 501(c)(3) organization committed to enhancing the cultural environment of our community. We accomplish this through an annual series of concerts, drawing from the bounty of talent throughout Rhode Island and southeastern New England, and encouraging young musicians to develop their talents through performance and education.

Our Committee consists of local music enthusiasts from all walks of life.

The CCS@SM Music Scholarship/Grant

Since an important part of the mission of CCS is to encourage young musicians, every concert features a performance by talented local students.  Each year we award, funds permitting, a scholarship or grant to a worthy recipient.  Past recipients have been Mt. Hope High School Seniors wishing to pursue a degree in music or music education.  We have also made three grants to the Community String Project, a Bristol-based after-school program that offers subsidized string instrument lessons to students from 3rd grade to adult.
